Latest updates on coronavirus as of 26th March 2020 in Nigeria, the pandemic deadly virus that’s attacking the globe has caused a lot of damage across all Europe already as Spain records the highest cases followed by Italy and lastly China. The globe is also working very hard to subdue this attack.
Heart of the matter amid coronavirus in Nigeria:
A breakdown of cases by states shows that Lagos State still has the highest number of confirmed cases in the country with 32 cases, followed by Abuja with 10 cases, Ogun State three.
And however, Ekiti, Oyo Edo, Bauchi, Osun and Rivers have one case each. As you can see above (photo).
Most of the cases reported are travellers who have just returned to the country. Other cases are people who have come in contact with infected people.
Meanwhile, most state governments have directed that some of its workers stay at home and not report to work which bring about closing schools including tertiary.
Nevertheless, The Minister Of Health in Nigeria Osagie Ehanire made us understand the critical of the matter which we really appreciate. (NTA NEWS)
“The Nigeria Center For Disease Control (NCDC) and other medical bodies have taken action in preventing the spread of the virus”.
“We have 51 (total) cases in Nigeria. Also, the use of face mask should be for infected people, or anyone going into infected areas”.
“We are working tirelessly and the rumors of Medical personnel being on strike is a lie and fake news”. The minister said.
